Things to Do
We suggest you unplug and spend some time in one of our hammocks. But maybe you’re wondering what else you can do while staying at the Farmhouse? Without leaving our Farmhouse, you can get a massage or shop in our boutique.
If you are interested in receiving a haircut, facial, pedicure or manicure, Cosmo Gal to the Posh Paonians Trish Monaghan will make a Farmhouse Inn house call, to get you looking pretty as a peach in no time at all. Call Trisha at 970 527-5683 for an appointment.

Visit one of our local wineries and take a farm tour. Here are a few Winery Links for you to click on.
One of our favorite vintners in the area is Bethlehem Cellars owned and operated by Bill and Margaret Musgnung. They happen to live right down the road from us and often we serve their wine with one of our weekend dinners. Should you wish to visit them for a barrel tasting or take a quick introduction winemaking class, we can arrange that for you.
Visit a U-Pick farm and take home some food. We will steer you in the right direction. We advise you to bring a hat and don't be afraid of heights or bees!
There’s hiking in the summer. Within an hour’s drive, you’ll find Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Grand Mesa National Forest, Grand Mesa, and Dark Canyon. You’ll find mountain and road biking, fishing and hunting and horseback riding.
In the winter, you can snow-shoe and cross-country ski at Grand Mesa (visit http://home.mesastate.edu/~jerry/gmnc/index.htm for the Grand Mesa Nordic Council), about an hour’s drive from Paonia, or closer to town, up Stephen’s Gulch.
Some interesting museums include Paonia’s own Historical Society (call Judy Livingston for details). Nearby Hotchkiss sports an antique tool collection. In Delta (40 minutes away), you’ll find the Delta County Museum, which recounts the Western Slope’s cultural heritage and natural history. Also in Delta is the Fort Uncompahgre Living History Museum.
Take a Yoga Class whie you are here. There is the Yoga Tree in Hotchkiss, where world reknown Instructor Nancy Crum Stechert, teaches Iyengar style Yoga to the masses. If you are a fan of Bikrams Yoga or Shivananda Yoga, Paonia has Studio 334 on Grande Avenue with Yoga classes every day of the week. Please Ask if you would like us to email a schedule to you.
